Language
I believe that the primary goal of acting is connection. Even if this means that you are connecting to something internally that no one else can see or feel, it is still a connection. Though words are clearly important while acting, I prefer to focus on the connection of actors while they are not speaking. To agree with Peter Brook, I think that non-verbal communication is more important than the language that is being spoken. A silent moment onstage, where there is only body language to move the audience along, is much more power to me than if the actors were to speak to each other.
